I was so bored from doing nothing in the office now, and beginning to feel the aching of my body, longing for my bed and missing my cats after working continuously for the past 36 - 37 hours (Want to know why, check out the other blog => darshikie.wordpress.com). Permatang pauh election causes me and several of my workmate to stay back for maximum 48hours to see on the changes of fuel price around Malaysia by last night, midnight. So we were on a look out. Can't say much about our beloved PM.

So, since that I still have few more hours to go, to be precises, 1 1/2 hrs to go (yay!), I when thru my facebook...oh look... no massages. Expected. Few applications....hmm.. ignore...ignore..ignore..done. Notifications....oh! it's notifying me that I got the applications from sombody sombody.. hmm.. *yawn*.. go check pictures. And after going thru some unknown person's album and checking their picture and indicating to oneself,"Thank goodness I'm not vain enough to have more then 18 albums..hohoho". So.. then, was checking on emelda's photos... and i saw this...

Hey! My fav bloggers together in one picture. :D

Photography.. expensive!

Thursday, August 21, 2008

After getting my Nikkor AF-S 55-200mm VR, it struck me. My goodness, photography is so darn expensive hobby!
But is it not a beauty? I haven't have the chance to try it out yet, just got it today. Wonder how the pictures would turn out. So excited.

Anyways, so far, I have spent more then RM4.5k for this month itself. The Nikon D60, the AF-S 55-200mm vr, the AF-S 18-200mm VR, the Sigma 24-70mm and the 18-55mm kitlense. I haven't even list down to the lenses that I wanted to get next month, the SB800 planning to get end of this month. Oh the addiction! Kesian my 4 babies at home. Thank Goodness I save some $$$ for their food, even if I don't have mine. Hohohoho! Ya, I'm stuck!

Lists

Thursday, July 17, 2008

I'm bored... tired from the trip I took from Kuching, attended the Rainforest World Music Festival. But I remember I was pondering about something on my flight back to KL on Tuesday evening...It's not a big thing but what made me had that tot was, there was this lady, not sure weather she was Malaysian or not... but.. She have 20 more or so earings on her left ear!.. Whats that for? Thats not cool.. that's.. ridiculous!

And so... Well, I use to have like 7 piercing on my left ear and few other piercing on my tongue and nose and brow.. anyways.. it's not about me.. but 20?? Again, so I took out a piece of paper and a pen.. (saja to list down the tings I wanted to add into my blog)... and here's the list....

1. Don’t wear a lot of jewellery
Maybe earrings... but not more then 7.. or less then that. (I don't use earings as much as I use to..)

2. Don’t eat anything that move!
I had this experience in Sukau, Sabah, before where I saw this fisherman, caught a fish, slay the fish, ripped off the guts while the fish still moving and just bite the head off and swallow the guts (some kinda remedy..whatever eeuuww! *barf*). Goodness sake it's fish guts!!!!

3. Never run after a bus/train
Find that extremely un-ladylike. Especially when a girl is in heels and skirt. But know what? Why do I ever bother? I'm no softy-lady-oh-i-broke-a-nail-please-help-life-crisis. If I were ever to use skirt (which I cant remember the last time I even had a skirt), I dont mind running if I was late of not. Hey, if you're late and you need to get to work in 20mins, what's wrong with running? Tak cantik? So? Why bother how people see you, as long as you're happy with how you look and you partner don't mind seeing you all sweaty...so?

4...... Damn it... I cant even read what I wrote the last 2 list.. was too sleepy I think I doze off while writing gibberish. (such ting ka?)

Anyways... I better get to work... laters~~

Verification my foot!

Really frustrating!

Euphoria - 4/7/2008 (Day to make charlene jeles~)

Saturday, July 5, 2008

Euphoria…my much-anticipated night of head banging, boobies shaking, bottle smashing, beer hogging.. Girl’s night out. For some of you who have heard, Euphoria hosts a circular dance floor and has two levels and an outside lounge area they call The Deq. The first impression I had when I stepped into the club was that it was a little underwhelming. For all the hype it's been receiving, I was expecting something grander, and more creative perhaps in terms of interior design. But the lighting though! Amazing! Very nice effects, like the ones you get at raves. And the sound system, u can even feel the bass on the dance floor and the music.

Nice bars, there’s 2 on the ground floor and a smaller one upstairs. Speaking of upstairs, I'm not a big fan of the glass flooring that they used for one section. Not only is it nerve-wrecking to step foot on (blame me for my weight! Damn you fats!), but it is directly above the booths. Not advisable to wear skirts or dresses here.

And I forgot to mention that Euphoria is a no-smoking club. If you want to go smoky, you have to go upstairs to a room called DSA (Designated Smoking Area). Seriously, it is TORTURE in there. You’re not only the 1st hand but also the 2nd hand smoker. The room is small with really, really bad ventilation. I don’t even think it actually works. I don't know how anyone actually finishes one ciggie in the room.

But then there is also the bad thing! When we arrived at the entrance, there was a long queue and I tot the place must be packed and started queuing up. Yala, trance techno bah last night. Then, I realized the long queue was caused by that stupid metal detector and body search! Every single person has to show their identification first, empty the pockets, go thru the detector, if beeped...you have to surrender your body for searching. And me with my stupid idea of wearing this extremely low cut. (I know who you are… and don’t think I cant see you with that grin when you scanned me. Arsehole!) And the drink! RM480 for a bottle of whiskey! Cover charge will be RM50 for normal days!

But all in all… I had great fun. Music? Well… not as I hope for…but can la.. as long as I could dance to it.

The Prudente

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

I was blog hopping and I find out something I didn't really expect finding out from the net. I was quite surprise to actually find out that my childhood friend, Caroline Francis is married to Cede Prudente and with kids!! OMG~!! LOL! It's Cede!! ahahahah I've heard of her getting married but I was not sure with who... and knowing who he was.. I am very very impressed!
The late Cikgu Francis's (those from St Cecilia Convent, Sandakan, would know him) daughter is married to Cede Prudente.

Cede was this big shot guy in my years in tour guiding. And it seems like he is even more of a big shot now since he is with National Geographic and a Nikon specialist speaker. I so envy you Carol! I really wish I have just took your offer to work with you guys years back. If I did, I might not end up working with the job I hate and still be in tourism. But back then I was with the wrong company to start with anyway. Should just "jump ship" and end up with you guys! Damn!

Well, it was nice to see Carol being with someone so successful, but the tot of just seeing an old friend happy was enough for me.

Yes, I did not age as mush as I should. LOL!

Have You Heard About The Secret?

I tot of sharing this with you all, taken from my friend's blog. I couldn't say better then what he had explain. :-

How many of you have come across this book called "Secret”? Have you overheard it in a conversation saying that "The Secret" actually works if you do it right or maybe when someone says "The Secret" is actually crap no matter how you do it.Well, I read this book because I too came across such situations before? Friends and family of mine keep on talking about "The Secret" and "law of attraction" and so on. It triggered me then that I need to get hold of this book but it's pretty expensive. It’s about 50 pounds (I can't afford that much).

So, there I was in a huge bookstore in Kuala Lumpur, looking at the book with not much of cash in wallet but have this special desire to get hold of it.Of course, being a human, we always have this habit of taking a sneak peek of everything. So I took my chances as the book which was right in front my desperate eyes were not wrapped with those plastic covers that we usually see. It took me about and hour to 2 to read the book (I know I am slow okay?!)From beginning till end.

The Secret reveals the most powerful law in the universe. The knowledge of this law has run like a golden thread through the lives and the teachings of all the prophets, seers, sages and saviors in the world's history, and through the lives of all truly great men and women. All that they have ever accomplished or attained has been done in full accordance with this most powerful law.

It just got into me and for that couple of hours; I actually didn't recall that I was still in the bookstore. The book was written in a layman English where anybody in this world, who can understand and read simple English can actually absorb the information which the book wishes to provide and share. I just went on and on, nonstop. It was actually the fastest book I ever read in my life (usually takes me 2 to 3 weeks).

Let me share more or less if this wonderful book.” The Secret" actually talks about law of attraction or some call it law of universe where when you use it appropriately is suppose to grant your wishes. For example, let's say you want somebody to offer you lunch and you use this law of attraction or universe, you should be able to get the coffee. How and why that person offers you coffee should not come across the law of attraction. If it does, the law has been violated and your wish wouldn't come through.Confused?I thought so.

I have been using "The Secret" for the past 10 months and whatever that I have asked for has been granted. This does not mean that God does not exists for those who believes in Him.It's just that the universe actually does give what you truly want in your life. Some would ask for money and some would ask for good health.I have to walk about 5-10 minutes to the bus stop.So I make use this period of time to ask the law of attraction or universe for what I really want.

You see the law of universe works if you ask for something in the right way.You must believe in what you are asking for and you should not include the negative terms such as "not","don't want"and so on while asking for something. You should ask for something in a positive manner and your wish should be granted. There should not be any doubts whether what you asked for will be granted or not.Besides that, if you start wondering how is this going to happen also violates the law of attraction or universe.Once you have asked for it,leave it and do not think about it.

When you use the negative terms as I've mentioned earlier, the law does not work. For example "I don't want problems" and so on cannot be executed by the law of attraction or universe.Instead of not having problems you might end up with a pile of them.

Gratitude plays an important factor in the law of attraction. Of course along with a little imaginary to make it work better. For example,"I want to have a cup of coffee.I believe in it."At this point, you have to imagine that you are already enjoying a cup of coffee. Then the gratitude comes in where you say out "Thank you".Said it like you really mean it.Said it like you already have it.This is what the secret is all about.

Can law of attraction or universe used in asking for good health or wealth.Of course they do.While I was reading the book, there were examples given where this guy wanted a cash check to be delivered to his house daily. He managed to get what he wanted using the law of attraction. He is still receiving cash checks daily.

You see the law of attraction is actually trying to help us out with everything.Successful people have been using "The Secret" knowing the law or not.I have tried it out and it seems to work during my working hours. At times I would ask for a less traffic road and I do get it.There were times where I asked that I want to get movie tickets on a premier day and it did happened.Unbelievable isn't it?Why don't you try it out?Try it out with simple things such as a coffee or cookies or someone asking you out.Using the law of attraction is like ordering food in a hotel. You do not repeat the orders because your waiter and chef will be confused and end of the day you get something else.Law of attraction is just like that, where you want something, you got to put it in a sentence less confusing and say it out loud once.Try these out and enjoy your "Secret"

Saying grace in a restaurant!- Touching~

Thursday, June 19, 2008

A friend of mine send me this really touching story, It so touching, made me want to share with you guys:-

Last week, I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!"

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!"

Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?" As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job, and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.

He winked at my son and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer." "Really?" my son asked. "Cross my heart," the man replied. Then, in a theatrical whisper, he added (indicating to the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."

Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his for a moment, and then did something I will remember the rest of my life.

He picked up his sundae and, without a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes, and my soul is good already."

The End.

New blog

I think it is time for me to change to a more user friendly blog. Not that I am complaining about WordPress, just that I find it more easier to use blogspot. So, here I am. I wont completely stop posting at WorPress, but more would be added here.
